If you want a 'hand built' look I've used Unfitted Kitchens - they do lots of free standing units as well but the b uilt in ones get delivered and you would need a builder to fit them. They are using the brand to get new business and new clients will be oblivious of the defaults on guarantee. Our kitchen designer was OK, the Stoneham units are beautifully built and solid as anything, but it was the fitters who made it all fit beautifully to our ancient wonky walls and who made sure that when the designer had added up wrong and ordered the wrong bits that they were swapped without cost to us. There are lots of high street kitchen companies who could do hand buit bespoke, or find a really good joiner. On quality, was shocked when heard from several employees (including the CEO) that they no longer trusted their product enough to offer a warranty on exports, discontinuing the previous 25 year warranty they had previously contracted. On design, they offered fixtures that weren’t matching (brushed nickel with chrome), no advice on colours (“choose whatever you want”), and couldn’t advise on in-cabinet lighting. Terrible company. This time round I feel it’s got even better. Wish I'd got him to fit a kitchen for me before I got rid.Sorry - as I say, no help at all. Smallbone did not complete the kitchen they were contracted to build.

From the warm welcome the moment I entered the showroom, to Vince, the expert designer who walked me through every step of my dream kitchen to the installation team who were both charming and efficient in equal measure, I have been delighted with the whole experience.
